Lemony Love Potion

This recipe is from the Disney Family Fun website

What you need:

• 12-ounce can pink lemonade concentrate
• 1 cup raspberry sherbet
• 12-ounce can of lemon/lime soda  (Sprite, 7up, sierra mist) 

Directions:

1. In a pitcher, mix the lemonade concentrate with the recommended amount of water.
   
2. In a separate pitcher, combine the sherbet with 1 cup of the lemonade mixture.
   
3. Add the soda, stir, and serve. Makes 3 cups.
   

Valentine's Mailboxes

 

This post is for 3 different ways you can create a place for your family to store their Valentines.

The first is a paper plate Mailbox.

What you need:

• 2 good quality paper plates.
• Glue
• Scissors
• Ribbon, string etc for hanging
• Decorating materials such as paint, markers, crayons, glitter, stickers etc...

Directions:

1. Decorate one of the plates however you desire but remember that the bottom half of the plate will not be seen.
2. Cut the undecorated plate in half.
3. Decorate one of the halves of the plate you just cut.
4. Glue the half to other whole plate to create the pocket.
5. Allow glue to dry then flip the plates over and attach the ribbon or whatever you are using to hang your mailbox.

 The second Mailbox is the shoe box mailbox.

What you need:

• A shoe box with the lid
• Decorating materials like paint markers stickers glitter etc...
• Scissors

Directions: 

1. Use the scissors to cut a hole in the lid of the shoe box big enough to allow the Valentines to be placed inside
2. Decorate the box and lid separately as you please 
3. Let dry if you used paint and the place lid on box

The third mailbox is a do it yourself envelope

What you need:

1. A piece of paper (any color you wish)
2. More paper to make your topper on the envelope or a printed and cut out image from the computer (I used my cricut to make my cupcake topper)
3. Tape
4. Decorating materials, markers, paint, glitter, stickers etc...

Directions:

1. Take the piece of paper you chose for your envelope and fold it in half (make sure you fold it the correct way so that you have a wider envelope and not a long narrow one)
2. Use tape to seal the edges together.
3. Fold the bottom of the envelope about an inch
4. Reopen the fold and fold the corners inward as shown below then tape the fold down to complete your envelope
5. Create your topped either by hand or print it out. You can make whatever design you like (a heart and animal etc, I used a cupcake because I am obsessed with cupcakes)
6. Decorate your envelope and attach your topper to the backside of the envelope with tape and either attach a ribbon or string to the back to hang it or just prop it up somewhere so others can find it easily to fill it up.

Valentine's Wreath

What you need:

•  
• Valentine's Day color Construction Paper (Red, White, Pink, Purple...)
• Paper Plate
• Scissors 
• Glue 
• Heart Pattern 
• String or Yarn for hanging 
• Glitter, stickers or other decorations  (optional)

Directions:

1. Cut a lot of small hearts of different sizes from the color or colors of construction paper of your choice. 
2. Cut out the middle of a paper plate, leaving the rim. 
3. Glue your hearts all around the paper plate to form your wreath
4. Decorate with glitter stickers or whatever you choose.
5.  You can tie a ribbon on it if you wish, or hang string to the back to hang from a nail or hook.

Valentine's Coupons

What you need:

• Coupon template (Links provided below)
• White or a light shade of colored paper

• Scissors
• Stapler

• Style 1 
• Style 2 
• Style 3

 Directions:

1. Print as many of these out as you wish and cut them out.
2. Staple them together to make a booklet.
3. Deliver the Valentine's Coupons directly to the object of your affection. The Love Checks can be written out beforehand or on the spot whenever the giver feels particularly affectionate.
